**Role**: Manager, Taxation

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide support to third-party tax advisor in preparation and filing of Canadian and US corporate, partnership and trust tax returns
- Assist with tax compliance as it relates to acquisitions, amalgamations and wind ups
- Liaise with CRA and provincial tax authorities on audits, reviews and notices
- Coordinate with external auditors on tax-related matters and provide support for tax audits and inquiries
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and related financial disclosures in accordance with IFRS
- Work collaboratively with external tax advisors on complex and international tax matters
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tax related questions across the group
- Conduct tax research and analysis as directed and advise management on impact to the organization, potential risks and opportunities

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation required.
- 5 years of progressive experience in tax roles, ideally with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership position.
- In-depth knowledge of Canadian tax laws, regulations, and principles.
- Strong technical expertise in tax compliance, planning, and strategy.
- Experience with tax provision calculations and financial reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex tax issues and provide practical solutions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
