**Job Overview**

**Responsibilities**
- Operate delivery vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring that all items are secured for transport.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and functionality.
- Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Handle freight with care, ensuring that all items are delivered in good condition.
- Assist in the operation of forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed during loading and unloading processes.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing any questions or concerns from clients during deliveries.

**Qualifications**
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is preferred; experience with commercial driving is highly desirable.
- Previous experience operating forklifts or heavy equipment is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of automotive repair is beneficial for maintaining vehicle performance.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
- Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading freight.
