**Overview**
**Responsibilities**
- Greet customers and assess their service needs courteously.
- Create detailed service orders based on customer requests and vehicle issues.
- Communicate effectively with technicians to ensure accurate diagnosis and repair recommendations.
- Provide customers with clear explanations of services required, costs, and timelines.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, service orders, and follow-up communications.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues or complaints in a timely manner.
- Ensure that all necessary documentation is completed accurately for each service transaction.
- Assist in inventory managment
- Assist in managing the workflow of the service department to optimize efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar customer service role is preferred but not an absolute.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer interaction.
- A passion for vintage and classic vehicles
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for order entry and record keeping.
- Knowledge of automotive repair processes is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- A positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
