**Position Overview**:
To carry out all required aspects of the procurement function for the acquisition of common production operations supply items. Ensuring value is maximized at all times. Make sure all supplies and parts are ordered in accordance with specifications as provided by requestor.

**What You Will Do**:

- Provide timely and accurate procurement support
- Coordinate with all programs and departments to define procurement requirements
- Review quotes from suppliers
- Experience working in an MRP environment
- Monitor supplier performance, experience working in an continuous replenishment (supplier agreement) environment
- Monitor contracts ensuring terms and conditions maximized
- Research potential suppliers
- Prepare purchase orders for approval or release
- Monitor and report on suppliers’ performance
- Negotiate with suppliers
- Carry out liaison with technical and user staffs
- Use computers and a variety of office equipment
- Maintain complete and accurate file records
- Review status reports and initiate appropriate action
- Provide oral and written reports and correspondence as required, internal and external
- Meet industry representatives on behalf of the Company
- Carry out special assignments as required
- Recommend and implement ways to reduce procurement costs
- Other tasks as deemed necessary

**What You Will Bring**:

- Undergraduate degree or the equivalent completion of secondary school and 4 to 7 years experience
- Skill in using MRP system, experience with JD Edwards would be considered an asset.
- Skill in using microcomputers for spreadsheet analysis and communications
- Familiarity or experience in aerospace purchasing an asset.
- 4 to 7 years experience in purchasing
- Respect for accuracy and detail
- Experience and capability to lead junior members of the staff.
- Must be eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), Secret Level II Security Clearance through PSPC- Contract Security Program, and Transport Canada RAIC clearance.
