Gift Shop Assistant

**Job Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Assemble gift baskets and boxes to a high standard of detail and finishing.
- Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and organizing merchandise.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Assist with updating products and designs (no previous experience necessary), especially in advance of holidays.
- Accurately and efficiently fill orders per custom requests.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and improve store operations.
- Assist management as needed.
- Deliver gifts throughout the Greater Victoria Area including downtown (compact company car provided).
- Input order and shipping info into the system to generate courier & post labels
- Full time hours in Nov. & Dec required. We close for approx. three weeks during the Christmas, New Year break.

**Experience**
- Previous shop, clerical or creative experience welcomed but not required.
- Comfortable using google maps & GPS while making deliveries.
- Valid BC drivers license with clean abstract.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Ability to stand on your feet while working with your hands in front of you.
- Ability to occasionally climb stairs or lift 40 lbs.
- A fast worker that doesn't dilly dally, yet strives for a job well done.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude are essential to team work and shop efficiency.
- Reliable and punctual with a clear sense of time management.
- Takes direction well and learns quickly.
- Enjoys working as a team, yet capable of self managing as needed.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 21 - 32 per week
