The **Maintenance Supervisor** is responsible for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of the plant manufacturing facilities and associated equipment. The incumbent will manage the day to day distribution of work orders including preventative maintenance requirements, across various work disciplines. Provide team leadership, coaching and mentoring to all staff. A hands on role working very closely with all operations departments daily to provide immediate, timely support, in order to ensure operational needs/ issues are met. Ensure that all corporate safety, policies and procedures, good housekeeping practices are being routinely followed.

**What we are looking for**:

- 3-5 years’ experience in a mechanical supervisory role
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Working knowledge of instrumentation systems and piping systems a definite asset
- Experience with investigations of mechanical issues and develop various options for resolution, an asset
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in a unionized environment is considered an asset
- Current trade certificate in one of the following Millwright, Pipefitting or similar
- Experience with Reliability and Condition based monitoring is considered an asset

**Job Duties**:

- Supervision and safety of direct reports and contractors, including the motivation, direction and discipline of all reports as per company policies and collective agreement if applicable
- Responsible to ensure compliance with our safety programs i.e. monthly employee’s safety talks, P.P.E., safe working procedures, training on the safe use of equipment
- Provide information/resources needed to properly repair equipment, issuing of work orders and scheduling of man power requirements, decisions on maintenance call-ins and co-ordination of all work performed for the safe reliable and efficient operation of manufacturing facilities
- Coordinate and review the completion of preventative maintenance requirements and tasks, also ensures the CMMS system is kept updated
- Assist engineering with minor project installations, equipment upgrades and meeting all budgetary requirements
