**Dietary Aide - Summer Opportunities** - Greenwood Court, Tri-County Mennonite Homes_ - Stratford, ON_ **About Greenwood Court**: Greenwood Court is designed as a 'Community of Care' where seniors are able to age in place. As the needs of our seniors change, they have access to additional services and supports without having to leave familiar surroundings or newly developed friendships. Staff and volunteers are committed to making Greenwood Court "a place to call home" for its residents. **About the Position**: **Qualifications**: - Current Safe Food Handling certificate is required **Experience**: - Minimum one (1) year experience working in food service fields, preferably in an institutional environment is an asset **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**: - Strong communication skills both verbal and written - Must be able to relate, communicate and co-operate effectively with staff, residents, residents' families, and the public - Knowledge of basic nutrition and special diet needs of individual residents - Able to operate kitchen utensils and equipment safely and efficiently - Able to tolerate standing and lifting throughout the workday - Ability to follow verbal and written instructions Summer Opportunities generally start in May and end at the beginning of September. These jobs may be funded by the Government of Canada's Student Work Placement Program (SWPP) or Canada Summer Jobs. In order to be considered for the Canada Summer Jobs Program, you must: - Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or a protected person defined by the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. - Be between 15-30 years of age at beginning of employment period - Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial legislation and regulations New employees will be required to complete a vulnerable sector check (or sign a declaration if under 18 years of age) and TB test as part of the onboarding process. Tri-County Mennonite Homes does not require COVID-19 vaccination as a part of the onboarding process, however TCMH continues to strongly recommend "up-to-date" COVID-19 vaccinations.
