Note: There is some flexibility with the schedule, and they may also need help on the weekends.

This is a childcare-focused role. Primary responsibilities include providing general childcare for two children and taking them on outings (e.g., to the park or an indoor play gym near the grandparents’ home). No cooking, housekeeping, or pet care is required, though being willing and able to heat up and plate healthy meals and keep track of when more food is needed would be appreciated. The mom usually handles cooking, and the grandparents’ staff will also assist with meal preparation for the children.

The mom is a single parent with two bright children who both have sunny, friendly, and curious personalities. They are flying to Toronto from Los Angeles for the holidays and will be staying with the grandparents. The grandparents already have a caregiver/housekeeper/cook who used to be a nanny and is happy to help out. It’s important for the family that the nanny has a warm personality and gets along well with other household staff.

They are looking for an experienced nanny who is skilled at setting boundaries and enforcing natural consequences when appropriate. The children are accustomed to a structured household, so they need someone organized who can help maintain a consistent schedule with regular naps, meals, and bedtimes. Being safety-conscious is also essential.

Driving is not required, but would be a plus A vehicle for work purposes could be provided.
