We offer industry leading wages, excellent training and career growth potential with advancement opportunities within our diversified company. You will be responsible for winter and seasonal maintenance of Ontario highways, using various trucks and heavy equipment.

Rates & Premiums
- Will be provided a base hourly rate of $25.00/hour
- Operators will be eligible to receive premiums starting at $5/hour, when performing winter maintenance operations

Work Conditions
- Local applicants will be given preference due to the location of the work
- Accommodations provided for out of town applicants in Hinkler Lake, Chapleau and White River
- As we respond to various weather patterns, shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
- Work schedules will consist of either 5 consecutive days followed by 2 days off or 6 consecutive days followed by 1 day off, with daily shifts lasting 8 to 12 hours (Shop specific)
- CLAC union position

Essential Responsibilities
- Operate snowplow trucks, wheel loaders, and other heavy equipment as required
- Maintain Ontario Provincial Highways year-round, including assisting with Labourer duties (pothole repair, guardrail repair, bridge and signage cleaning, hazard remediation, etc.)
- Work outside in all weather conditions

Qualifications
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting50lbs on a regular basis, bending, kneeling, crouching etc.
- Valid AZ or DZ driver’s license with air endorsement
- Provide a copy of a 3-year commercial driver’s abstract
- Previous experience operating a snowplow truck and/or wheel loader is a strong asset
