**Job Title: Front Store Assistant & Cake Decorator**

Hillcrest Bakery & Deli is a locally cherished, family-owned bakery and deli known for quality, tradition, and exceptional customer service. We are currently seeking a dynamic, customer-focused individual to join our team as a **Front Store Assistant & Cake Decorator**.

**Position Summary**:
As a Front Store Assistant, you will support the Front Store Manager in providing outstanding customer service, maintaining store cleanliness, preparing food items, and ensuring smooth daily operations. You will also use your artistic skills to assist in decorating cakes, cupcakes, and other specialty desserts to meet customer orders and display standards.

**What You’ll Do**:

- Greet customers and handle transactions
- Prepare soups, sandwiches, and dips
- Maintain clean prep areas and displays
- Decorate cakes for custom and retail orders
- Follow Food Safe and store procedures
- Help manage inventory and restock supplies

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in food handling or retail; cake decorating experience preferred.
- Valid Food Safe Level 1 certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for long periods.
