**QC/QA/EHS TECHNICIAN**

This is an entry level role for a dynamic, detail focused individual responsible for all aspects of day-to-day quality control and EHS of a chemical plant. This is a permanent, fulltime role that may require a rotating shift.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Execution of various test procedures within the laboratory and production floor.
- Prepare batches of intermediate product (resin and catalyst) as per SOP.
- Test to ensure raw material and finish product meets predetermined standards.
- Actively take part in continuous improvement and development of test procedures and templates.
- Assist with laboratory test work and facilities maintenance, as required.
- Routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, including setup, calibration, and repair.
- Maintain laboratory records including SDS information, instruments, and equipment calibration certificates.
- Manage technical communication, including reports, graphs, and tables.
- Strict adherence to DSI Underground’s Health and Safety program.

**REQUIRED COMPETENCIES**:

- Experience with quality standards and procedures.
- Solid organization and time management abilities.
- Strong computer skills and proficient in MS Office.
- Strong interpersonal skills combined with a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- High level of personal integrity with a strong work ethic.
- Experience with WHIMS required.
- Knowledge of HMI an asset.
- Ability to work well in a professional environment.
- Able to work hard, act professionally and make decisions independently.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.

**EXPERIENCE**:

- 0-2 years of process plant or related industrial experience an asset.

**EDUCATION**:

- Chemical engineering technician, technologist, diploma, or degree in related discipline strongly preferred.
