**Job Overview**

Black Bear Builders is seeking skilled and motivated carpenters to join our team in Banff, Alberta. As part of our growing company, you will play a crucial role in various residential and commercial construction projects, delivering high-quality craftsmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

**Responsibilities**:

- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, andsketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts inconformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
- Cut, shape, and assemble materialssuch as wood, steel, and other materials as required.
- Build foundations, install floor beams,lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install trim items such as doors,stairs, moldings, and hardware.
- Repair, maintain, and renovate wood structures and fixturesas necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations at all times.

**Job Requirements**

Proven experience in carpentry, with a minimum of 2-3 years in a similar role.

Strong knowledge of building materials and construction methods.

Ability to work from detailed instructions and plans.

Good physical stamina to handle demanding tasks in varied weather conditions.

Proficient in the use of hand and power tools relevant to carpentry.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Requirements: Valid driver’s license preferred. Familiarity with workplace safety protocols is essential.

**Working Conditions**
