**Position**: Concrete Finisher

**NOC TEER**: 73100

**Wages**: $ 39.75 - $ 40.75 per hour for 30 hours/week

**Terms of employment**: Permanent, Full time

**Job Duties**:

- Setting forms that hold the concrete in place.
- Cleaning and inspecting surfaces for pouring issues.
- To make sure concrete surfaces are waterproof and foundations are damp - proof
- Repairing, reconstructing and if required replacing the impaired sections of floor, walls and other concrete surfaces.
- Directing the casting of the concrete with the truck driver
- Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float and screed. This includes handheld tools and power tool versions.
- Monitoring the effects of weather on the curing process.
- Safely operating power vibrator to ensure that concrete is compacted.
- Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools.
- Polishing surfaces using a power surfacing machine.

**Education**: Completion of secondary school is required

**Work Experience**: 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience is required

Pay: $39.75-$40.75 per hour
