Adr Operator

**Summary**: Ensures the ADR equipment is running efficiently and properly to ensure product is at Top Quality

**Essential Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Operates all ADR equipment (ADR’s, Tegra’s etc.) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Able to change the grading screens on request
- Ensures the ADR equipment is set to the appropriate specifications in accordance with the type of product being run.
- Is cross trained for and can relieve the Cutter Operator for breaks
- Changes, disassembles and assembles the ADR cutters.
- Ensures that waste is kept to a minimum by being able to make adjustment to the cube eliminators.
- Works together with the utility operator to maximize recovery with regards to peel time.
- Able to open and close the dump gates to the blancher.
- Performing required daily tests to ensure product quality, consistency, and determine equipment effectiveness. Then recording results into the designated McCain database to drive Real Time Management and support data analysis.
- Provide support and leadership to the Process Labourer.
- Maintains all required documentation including entering SPC data.
- Must maintain daily sanitation and food safety in area.
- Must be able to properly perform shut down clean ups procedures properly and safely using all appropriate PPE.
- Must know the proper reporting procedures for FM and ICR’s and can assist in an investigation.
- Other related duties as assigned

**Required Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (Competencies)**
- High School Graduate
- Able to work shift work on a rotating basis
- Familiar with Infinity, Process Control, OCAP and basic computer skills.
- Able to recognize “In Control and Out of Control” parameters with colour teaching and adjustments of equipment.
- Must have safe work habits.
- Familiarity within process control testing and entering results into the designated McCain database.
- Effective written, oral, mathematical and interpersonal skills.
- Adheres to all Company rules, regulations and policies and all relevant rules, regulations and policies.

**_ Required Length, Type of Experience & Licenses (if applicable)_**:

- Must be willing to train in Confined Space & Rescue, Personal Fall Protection, Forklift and Scissor/Boom Lift (height min 20’)
- Mechanically inclined

**Physical Requirements**
- Able to work in a high humidity, high temperature work environment
- Physically capable of performing job duties (e.g., lifting 40 - 50 lbs of potatoes when required)
- Able to climb stairs to check equipment and product.
- Experienced with the safe handling of chemicals in accordance with WHMIS.

**Hourly Rate**
- Start Rate: $30.55
- After 6 months: $31.81
