Located in the beautiful village of Rosseau overlooking Lake Rosseau, Crossroads Restaurant provides the best dining experience in Muskoka & Parry Sound. Owners Chef Richard and Julie Lalonde ensure our ingredients are carefully selected from the finest local sources, and our creative dishes are a true culinary experience. We pride ourselves on offering an array of fresh Farm to table menu creations. At Crossroads, we are passionate about creating an outstanding experience for each guest who chooses to dine with us.

We are seeking an experienced Cook to join our team. The position of Cook is responsible for the daily preparation of food items in the pantry, fry and/or stations or other areas of the kitchen. At Crossroads, creativity and a passion for high-quality food is necessary. Cooks must also be able to thrive in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment, maintain a positive attitude, stay up-to-date and knowledgeable on current food trends, and put a high level of care into each prepared dish.

Work, live and play in beautiful Muskoka Parry Sound We guarantee two consecutive days off per week and have housing opportunities available. Crossroads Restaurant is Open Wdnesday to Sunday 3pm-10 pm competitive wages ,tip pooling,policy in place

**RESPONSIBLITIES**
- Set up the station according to restaurant guidelines.
- Prepare all food items as directed in a sanitary and timely manner.
- Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Restock all items as needed throughout the shift.
- Clean and maintain station while practicing good safety, sanitation, and organizational skills.
- Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers, and all storage areas.
- Understanding and knowledge to effectively use and maintain all equipment in the station.
- Complete closing duties and thoroughly clean kitchen each evening.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor and or owner.

**KEY REQUIREMENTS**
- Post secondary diploma with a focus in hospitality and or culinary arts, OR current pursuit of a post-secondary diploma in hospitality or culinary arts.
- Previous prep or line cook experience.
- Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills, self motivated, and organized.
- Ability to take direction.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
- Strong work ethic and desire to exceed expectations.
- Positive, friendly attitude.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to excel in a team environment.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
