**THOAR Mining** provides a wide variety of services in the support and operation of Mining, ranging from Project Management, Construction, Maintenance, and Equipment Operation.

We have an immediate need for a highly motivated, safety-conscious **Underground Geotechnical Mine Supervisor** for a Potash project with our client at **Esterhazy, SK. **This position is on a **temporary contract basis** for a one-year duration with the possibility of an extension or transition to other projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise Mine technicians and provide support/direction on geotechnical issues
- Mine design, process, planning, and scheduling
- Work closely with the Mine Operations, Maintenance, and Technical Services teams providing support and oversight
- Mine Ventilation directives and planning - completing proactive designs, identifying capital requirements, and assisting in short term troubleshooting to ensure the mine is successfully being ventilated
- Additional Geotechnical support - providing long term geotechnical support to assist with mine design and planning, as well as operations field support for addressing ground hazards that can develop in the underground environment
- Working on cross-functional team projects for the mine
- Identifying and managing operational, capital, and business improvement requirements to execute mine development and production activities

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Mine Engineering, Geological Engineer, or a related professional discipline
- Unerground Supervisor ticket
- Eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in underground operation mine sites preferred
- Proficiency with mine planning software
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to lead and operate in a professional manner
- Technical proficiency in Potash Rock Mechanics, Mine Ventilation, and Geotech experience
- Proficiency with MicroStation, Auto Cad, Amine, or alternate drafting/mining software
