Seastar, part of Avantor, is looking for a high energy Maintenance/Production Technician responsible for the maintenance of production, packaging and supply chain equipment as well as site facilities tasks.

This will report into the Operations Manager and will be a full-time position based in Sidney, BC.

**What we’re looking for**:

- **Education**: Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- ** Experience**: 1-3 years of related experience in a manufacturing or warehouse facility but this is not mandatory as we provide onsite training.
- Good English written and oral communication skills

**How you will thrive and create an impact**:

- Follow Avantor's safety protocols.
- Perform daily bottle preparation, filling, and packaging functions.
- Daily cleaning, sanitizing, set up and maintain filling, packaging and warehouse areas and equipment.
- Submit accurate records of filling and packaging work performed to the department Team Lead
- Responsible for participating in achieving department’s operational and service targets.
- Familiarize yourself with and follow all procedures and SOPs related to the filling, packaging, and warehousing functions at Avantor.
- Participate in any required training on the proper use and care of filling, packaging and warehouse related equipment.
- Provide coverage for other Packaging Technicians and Warehouseperson when necessary.
- Performs job responsibilities in a manner consistent with and supportive of the company’s values.
- Other activities as determined by the Operations Manager.
