SSR Mining - Seabee Gold Operation is hiring for a Temporary Journeyperson Plumber.

About Your New Role:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Site Services, the Journeyperson Plumber, will be responsible for the preventive & corrective maintenance of the site facilities to ensure they are maintained, upgraded, setup and repaired in a safe and professional manner. As propane is included in the job description, a General Gas Ticket is also necessary.

Your Key Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage system.- Installs new piping, plumbing, and heating units (propane and oil burning units).- Hydronic Heating- Routine facility inspections and preventive/corrective maintenance duties.- Install, repair, and maintain domestic and industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.- Maintain potable water supply system for camp.- Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment.- Maintain a log of daily shift events.- Maintain a clean work area.- Promote teamwork and cross-cultural relations and understanding.- Performs job walk downs, risk evaluations, develop task sequencing, capture pertinent details, understand resource and material requirements and document for corrective maintenance.

Your Knowledge and Skills:
- Safety first attitude.- Ability to work alone or with a team.- Demonstrated leadership skills.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Ability to identify problems and implement solutions.- Excellent organization and time management skills.- Valid Class 5 driver’s license.- Demonstrated ability to take initiative in a results-oriented environment.- High attention to detail, motivation, and commitment to quality outcomes.

Your Education and Experience:
- Hold a valid Red Seal Journeyperson Plumbing Certification and General Gas Ticket Certification with no restrictions.- 5 years’ experience of plumbing and/or pipefitting.- HRAI Canada’s Ozone Layer Protection Awareness an asset.- Potable water treatment training and certification an asset.- Previous related experience working in remote fly in camp sites.

About Our Working Conditions:
This position has a schedule of two (2) weeks on, two (2) weeks off at our remote camp in northern Saskatchewan, working 11-hour days with possibility of unscheduled overtime required on occasion. You will be required to fly in fly out of the site on designated days from a pick-up point in either Saskatoon, Prince Albert or La Ronge.
