**Job Overview**

Reporting to the Site Superintendent as the **Commercial Labourer** you are responsible for general labour activities on construction job sites. You will maintain cleanliness of the site as well as complete basic carpentry tasks.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

- Maintaining a clean worksite, properly disposing of waste and scrap materials.
- Loading and unloading construction materials and preparing site for sub-trades.
- Completing basic carpentry tasks and supporting onsite team members and trades with construction activities.
- Complying with Qualico’s safety program and relevant safety legislation.
- Organized; you effectively manage your time while balancing multiple priorities.
- A strong communicator; you clearly express your thoughts in conversation and in written communication.
- An active listener; you seek to understand and listen to others in a non-judgmental way.

**Essential Requirements**
- Physically fit; you are able to frequently lift, carry, push or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- A creative problem solver; you can think outside the box for solutions without fear of failure.
- Comfortable using carpentry related tools and equipment.

**Other requirements**
- Middle school education, must be able to read and write and perform basic math.
- Minimum 6 months of construction industry experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.

**Work Conditions**

You primarily work on site during regular business hours. Work has exposure to noise from equipment/machinery and occupational hazards as well as dealing with inclement weather and dust. Overtime may occasionally be required.
