We are looking for a positive, outgoing, and professional individual to join the Signature Health team.

**Required Qualifications**:

- Current Registration with Sonography Canada
- ARDMS (optional)
- Current Registration with Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals - NSCMIRTP

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Minimum 1-2-year experience in a similar role performing echocardiograms. Additional experience is looked at as an **asset.**
- Has previous experience working with GE.
- Ability to work independently and with a team of health professionals.
- Is experienced and proficient in digital image acquisition, study interpretation, and report generation.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Welcomes the patient with a positive and friendly attitude.
- Ensures all patient information is correct in Ultrasound machine and EMR software.
- Educates patient on procedure and explains the process to patient. Answers any questions the patient may have for the procedure.
- Follows the appropriate patient preparation to ensure comfort and safety of the patient.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Performs high quality diagnostic ultrasound testing.
- Takes the time that is required to ensure excellent image quality is captured.
- Captures and provides accurate data to help the reporting Cardiologist with the diagnosis and treatment of the patients.
- Complete a general preliminary report for the Cardiologist.
- Transfer images from the Diagnostic Ultrasound Machine to a cloud-based Software for Cardiologist interpretation.
- Work directly with the reporting Cardiologist.
- Able to perform up to 4 echocardiograms in a day. If able to do more, it is looked at as an asset.
