Summer Camp Counsellor- Farm Camp

**Location**: Flock, Stock & Barrel Farm (Spencerville, ON)
- 20-25 minutes from Kemptville
- 30-35 minutes from Kars, Osgoode and Manotick
- 40 minutes from Ottawa

**Position Type**: Seasonal (July 2nd - August 1st, 2025)

Do you love working with children, spending time outdoors, and making a difference in young lives? Join our team as a Camp Counsellor for Farm Camp This is a unique opportunity to help kids aged 4-11 explore leadership, learning, and adventure while immersed in the beauty of nature on our working farm.

As a Camp Counsellor, you’ll play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for our campers, fostering their growth as ‘Little Birdies’ (ages 4-5), ‘Young Explorers’ (ages 6-7), or ‘Rising Leaders’ (ages 8-11). From leading activities to supervising groups, you’ll ensure every camper has an unforgettable experience while encouraging their curiosity and confidence.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Lead and supervise groups of children in daily camp activities, including learning about farm life, leading campers through exploration walks led by our farm hosts, games, crafts, nature exploration, leadership challenges and so much more
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers at all times.
- Collaborate with fellow counsellors to execute engaging programming aligned with our camp's values
- Act as a role model, promoting respect, teamwork, and responsibility.
- 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
- 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

**Qualifications**:

- Enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to engage with children in an outdoor environment.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
- Empathy and patience
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and think on your feet.
- Previous experience working with children (e.g., camps, schools, tutoring or recreational programs) is an asset.
- Reliable transportation to and from the farm.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of camp).
- Police Check with vulnerable sector (or willingness to obtain prior to the start of camp).

**Job Type**: Seasonal
Contract length: 5 weeks

Pay: $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42.5 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
