Greenhouse Maintenance

**Bayview Group of Companies **is a grower, broker, and distributor of floral solutions. Established in 1948, Bayview has expanded its operations and provides products to some of the largest retailers across North America. Our head office is in Jordan Station in the Niagara Peninsula, and we have two greenhouses in Jordan.

Currently, we have an opening for a **Greenhouse Maintenance **position. This position is responsible for ensuring the physical assets in the Greenhouse are operating at total capacity, with mínimal downtime, and under good repair. This includes, but is not limited to, irrigation systems, greenhouse automated control system(s), Havatec stem processors, and boilers.

**Duties**:

- Maintain and repair all Bayview physical assets
- Ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on necessary equipment

**Requirements**:

- Ability to work independently in a commercial greenhouse environment
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently
- Ability to work on a rotational basis to ensure weekend and after-hour coverage.

**Working Conditions**:

- The physical environment requires working both inside and outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry conditions.
- Required to use PPE equipment to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.
- Periodic travel to assist J1 Greenhouse facility based on specialized skills.

**Credentials and Qualifications**:

- Electrical knowledge would be an asset
- Plumbing knowledge would be an asset
- Mechanically inclined and physically able.
- Ability to work independently in a large commercial greenhouse environment.
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks and projects efficiently.
- Possess problem solving and logical decision making abilities.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $27.00-$32.00 per hour
