Recreologist

The Recreologist, in consultation with the RHA Teams, assesses the recreology needs of the Residents and plans, implements and evaluates Recreology Programs to ensure that these needs are being met.

**The Recreologist is responsible to ensure that a high quality of recreology programs are available to meet changing client needs by**:

- Determining and documenting resident needs by monitoring resident histories, inquiring about hobbies, completing Leisure Assessments with the resident when appropriate and through observation.
- Developing, implementing and evaluating recreology programs designed to meet residents’ assessed recreology needs, in cooperation with other disciplines.
- Participating as member of Unit Team, in order to exchange information with other team members and to problem-solve regarding recreology programming at the Team level.
- Encouraging and facilitating client participation in activity programs.
- Providing special events, co-hosting parties, etc. throughout the Home as required
- Maintaining record of Resident participation in recreology programming.
- Providing written input for Resident Care Reviews; attending Resident Care Reviews if a special need requires this.
- Documenting on clinical record when appropriate and quarterly reviews.

**Salary**: $22.16-$23.66 per hour
