Classification: Custodian (Temporary - May 20, 2025 to July 21, 2025)
Rate: $24 per hour
Hours: 28-35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

The Custodian takes work direction and prioritization from the COHO Coordinator and reports directly to the Manager of Field Operations.

This position is to look after the building/grounds cleaning. Cleaning experience is an asset.

Duties Include:
**Building Services**
- Mops, washes floors, and vacuums carpets
- Maintains cleanliness of all indoor common areas including but not limited to: Lobby and Elevators; Laundry Room & dryer filters behind and inside machines; Hallways and stairs; Office; Amenity Room; Maintenance Room
- Maintains cleanliness of all outside areas, picks up litter and removes garbage
- Maintains cleanliness of all common area breezeways
- Sweep and dispose of leaves and other materials at building entrances
- Clear snow or ice from doorways and walkways when required
- Operates cleaning janitorial equipment and uses associated tools and cleaning materials
- Cleans walls, furniture, and dust and sweeps areas
- Washes accessible windows
- Prepare vacant units for new tenants
- Maintain daily log of all tasks
- Maintaining an inventory of equipment and supplies needed in the execution of the job
- Checking in with onsite COHO Management staff twice a day

**Material and Supplies**
- Make list of supplies needed, and let office know to have picked up
- Check packing slips when supplies have been delivered

**General**
- Report immediately all acts of vandalism or damage caused through negligence by anyone
- Accompany trades, where necessary

**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
This position requires flexibility to work outside of regular office hours (i.e. evenings/weekends) when necessary. This position may be based on site in the office of multiple housing co-operatives with frequent activities in and around the Lower Mainland.

This is a temporary position for May 20, 2025 to July 21, 2025, with the possibility of extension based on operational requirements.

Pay: $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 28 - 35 per week
