General Construction/carpentry Laborer

Edmonton, Canada Spar Construction Ltd. Full time

Experienced General Construction Labourer.
- Assist with measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
- Learn to operate and maintain hand and power tools
- Assist in the assembly and installation of structures, fixtures, and furniture
- Follow blueprints, sketches, or building plans to ensure accuracy
- Help with the layout of construction projects
- Clean and maintain work areas and tools
- Learn to read and interpret construction drawings
- Receive work orders from the Project Manager(s), review and execute tasks as requested.
- Follow scope of work - Communicate regularly with the Project Manager(s) on the job’s progress and if any concerns
- Install exterior and interior doors, complete interior & exterior framing, custom mill work/cabinetry, installation of cabinets and counter tops
- Installing baseboard and trim and finishing's
- Drywall, mudding and painting *if qualified*

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic maths skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labour tasks
- Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Valid class 5 driver's license with personal means of transportation

Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour

Additional pay:
