_Browns is looking for an electromechanic for its distribution center in Saint-Laurent. This system, manufactured by the Austrian company Knapp, is used to transport, store and pick up shoes in an automated way via stackers, high speed elevators and picking stations. You will be working on a system using multiple Siemens components (electronic modules and drives), profibus DP loops and AS-i technology as well as several Knapp specific components._
- Your main objective will be to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on all equipment as well as adjustments during production. You will also be in charge of intervening during system shutdowns due to failures, including container blockages by the stacker cranes. It will be essential to follow up on the different equipment in order to limit unplanned downtime during production. The electromechanic will have to perform maintenance, repair and contribute to the continuous improvement of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic components according to health and safety standards. He/she will also be constantly looking for improvements, corrections or implementation of new work methods in order to increase productivity and eliminate problems during production. Finally, you will have to communicate with Knapp's technical support when problems with the automated system arise._
- In this role, you will report to the DC Manager and work closely with the Lead Electromechanic, the Logistics Team and the Supervisors responsible for Distribution Center Operations._

**SCHEDULE**:

- Sunday morning
- Monday to Thursday evenings

**RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES**:

- Execute adjustment during operations.
- Complete pre-emptive and corrective maintenance on the automation system (electrical, mechanical and/or pneumatic).
- Intervene when jams occur during operations. Assess, correct the situations and restart the system.
- Perform troubleshooting analysis to identify and replace faulty electrical components.
- Maintain very good knowledge of all components of the system (electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic) with a very high level of understanding of system layouts to minimize resolution time
- Maintain a clean working environment inside and around all automation systems.
- Communicate with supervisors to establish maintenance slot on a daily basis.
- Contact the Knapp to follow-up on PLC, mechanical, electrical and/or pneumatic issue(s);
- Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts.
- Maintain documentation and intervention logs
- Order parts and services from Knapp or other suppliers to minimize spent while maintaining same quality or products.
- Execute general maintenance tasks for Browns.

**QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS**:

- 2 to 5 years of experience in automated systems
- DEP or DEC in electro-mechanics of automated systems or other related disciplines
- Great concern for safety in the workplace
- Ability to effectively diagnose and resolve problems: electrical, mechanical and/or pneumatic
- Ability to read electrical, mechanical and/or pneumatic drawings
- Performs quality maintenance work in a meticulous and thorough manner
- Great ability to learn different systems and tools
- Ability to adapt and high level of autonomy
- Great personal initiative and desire to surpass oneself
- Respect for deadlines and schedules Availability for paid overtime (weekdays and weekends)
- Experience with Knapp systems and equipment (an asset)
- Experience with a WCS (Warehouse Control System) (an asset)
- Good knowledge of French and English spoken and written
- Knowledge of PLC, Drives and Siemens products (an asset)
- Knowledge of Profibus communication networks and diagnostic tools (an asset)
