**Director, People & Culture Business Partner**

**About the Role**:
The Director, People & Culture Business Partner will support their portfolio in all P&C areas, including talent acquisition, employee relations, compensation, communication and performance management. They will drive HR and corporate strategies, foster collaboration by identifying gaps and organizational needs, and support supervisors and managers in professional development. They will provide guidance to ensure People & Culture programs align with Wittington’s values and culture
**What will you do?**
- Act as strategic and experienced HRBP, uses sound judgment supported by human resource acumen and practical experience to lead the development and implementation of strategic initiatives for the client group.
- Support the delivery and deployment of HR and cross-functional programs and processes by fostering and maintaining strong internal relationships with key business leaders and stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with recruitment in developing proactive strategies to attract key talent, as well as retain and develop high potential and high performing colleagues, ensuring the right people are in the right job for succession planning, current and future business needs
- Align HR strategic objectives with the business strategies to add value to the client, leading through issues which are complex and arise from broad internal or external issues
- Use expertise in compensation to support compensation design, and support compensation decisions for client group
- Play a leadership role to recognize barriers to success and facilitate proactive solutions that support a performance driven culture with a focus on talent management, coaching and mentoring clients on talent reviews, performance management, succession and building a talent pipeline for hipos.
- Operate as a key enabler to the business as it drives engagement and culture by counseling, guiding, facilitating, and allowing the business to own colleague engagement and the sustainment of culture. Ensures that the interests of colleagues and company are considered in accordance with HR policies and applicable government laws and regulations - i.e.: ESA, Human Rights Code
- Serve as a coach and confidante to leaders around people and organizational issues, leadership development, and act as an advocate for colleagues
- Support needs related to Employee Relations in client groups
- Support creation of communication plans and deployment of companywide communications
- Work Collaboratively with our Immigration Lawyers to meet the organizations immigration needs
**What do you need to succeed?**

- A detail oriented, collaborative, proactive and results oriented style with demonstrated success in
- leading and working on projects and project teams as a team player
- Proven influencing, judgment, decision making and cooperative problem-solving skills.
- Strong integrity with ability to maintain confidentiality and manage highly sensitive information.
- Strong analytic skills and superior ability to problem-solve complex issues
**Education and Experience**:
- Post-secondary education in business, HR or related discipline, preferably with a CHRP designation.
- 8 - 10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in business partner position.
