**Duration**: Permanent, part-time (22.5 hrs/week) flexibility for every second weekend and for more evening shifts with these hours.
Southbridge Care Homes are currently looking to expand our Food Services department. We are looking for a Food Services Supervisor to join our enthusiastic team at Southbridge Cornwall.
Reporting to the Food Service Manager, the Food Services Supervisor will work in conjunction with FSM to ensure the smooth running of all the operations of the food service department. They will work to ensure the nutritional needs of our beloved residents are met. The FSS will be jointly responsible for inventory management, meal/snack plans, human resource management, kitchen operations, clinical nutrition, and all other aspects of the Food Services department.
RESPONSIBILITIES - As part of your duties and in conjunction with FSM.
- Plan, organize and provide high-quality dietary services for residents of the facility.
- Select, supervise and motivate dietary staff; ensure dietary staff works as a team, ensure a high level of productivity and better use of staff capabilities.
- Ensure all food preparation, food service, and storage areas meet Public Health requirements.
- Maintain all records in accordance with policies, procedures, and legislative requirements, including the implementation and posting of all regular and therapeutic menus.
- Liaise and consult with residents, families, team members, government officials, and professionals in relation to resident care needs and department activities
- Participate in the budgeting process and manage food and supplies budget for the department.
- Complete clinical/PCC for residents as assigned.
- Maintain accuracy of menu and people in MealSuite.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Current membership in the Canadian Society of Nutritional Management (C.S.N.M.) or a Registered Dietician required
- Strong leadership skills to direct the work of employees.
- Superb organizational, time management, and multi-tasking skills.
- Experience managing employees within a unionized setting is considered an asset.
- Experience with PCC and MealSuite is considered an asset.
- Knowledge of Occupational Health & Safety practices, principles, and legislation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- Customer-focused with a high emphasis on building and maintaining relationships with clients.
