**Job Overview**

**Duties**
- Assist in food preparation and cooking, ensuring adherence to recipes and presentation standards
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, serving meals, and addressing any guest inquiries or concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, following food safety protocols
- Collaborate with kitchen staff in menu planning and meal preparation to create innovative dishes
- Handle food items safely, ensuring proper storage and handling practices are followed
- Support catering events as needed, including setup, service, and cleanup
- Utilize knife skills effectively for food preparation tasks
- Participate in training sessions on food safety and sanitation practices

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred
- Familiarity with dietary department operations or as a dietary aide is a plus
- Knowledge of menu planning, meal preparation, and cooking techniques is highly valued
- Experience in the food industry or culinary field will be beneficial
- Strong understanding of food handling practices and safety regulations
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
