In providing these services, Campus Security contributes to creating a safe, secure and welcoming campus for all and to the overall mission of the University by providing exceptional customer service in all aspects of the operation. The critical nature of these services are provided 24/7/365. Campus Security Services serves a diverse client base including students, employees and visitors. The department’s 46 employees work together as a team to ensure a high standard of customer service delivery, as well as the effective, efficient and safe adherence to university policies. The Security Officer reports to the Patrol Manager and designated Team Leader and is responsible for providing impartial security services that enhance personal safety and protection for all members of the University Community, responding to security concerns in a service-oriented manner, investigating complaints and incidents, and ensuring compliance with security standards and university policies to maintain a secure campus environment. Security Officers are responsible for ensuring the physical security of the campus as well as managing the associated liability of the assets within the campus.
