**The Opportunity**

**Ancora Waterfront Dining & Patio’s **cuisine manifesto is hinged on sustainable seafood, while sourcing local and international ingredients, and draws inspiration from its Pacific Northwest surroundings. Understanding the city's dining evolution has inspired Ancora to create a menu that accommodates all of its diners' culinary desires, combining flavours and techniques which embrace several diverse cultures in a modern, yet approachable setting.

We are looking for a **General Manager** to help lead the team at our **False Creek **location. The ideal person will have a sincere passion for hospitality and upscale service, many years of experience in a Restaurant Manager position and a deep knowledge of wine and cocktails.

**What You’ll Do**
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurant including sales, fiscal operations, accounting, recruitment, and maintenance of the building and equipment.
- Hire, mentor and guide the team to achieve success both personally and professionally.
- Responsible for managing the revenue with the goal being to exceed budget and preserve cost-effectiveness and profitability in agreement with company policies.
- Prepare monthly reports for the corporate office and should have the ability to follow corporate office financial procedures, including but not restricted to; handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and all other financial transactions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

**What You Have**
- 5+ years of experience in an upscale restaurant management position and proven ability to manage and maintain the highest service standards.
- Decision-making skills, process improvement, strategic planning, verbal communication, customer focus, management proficiency, managing profitability, and quality focus.
- Strong knowledge of wine and cocktails with minimum WSET 2 or equivalent.
- Proven ability to grow the business, increase sales and drive traffic, all while improving the guest experience.
- Ability to lead and manage restaurant staff for daily operations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Canada to be considered.
