**Description**:
As a member of the Product Development team the
**Product Development Associate **is
** **responsible for supporting development trials related to Industrial Product Development, Quality Control, Design, and Operations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Execute laboratory studies related to formulation of PVC blends, inks, and varnishes
- Participate in cross-functional teams for trial planning and root cause analysis
- Responsible for testing of lab / production materials, which may include method dev’t
- Create / maintain BOMs and Process Specifications
- Publish results in reports / presentations to inform project direction
- Provide technical support, troubleshooting to operations and customers
- Establish/implement AWI’s for new equipment
- Other duties as assigned

**Skills, Knowledge and Expertise**:
**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, engineering, or related discipline.

**Experience**
- Zero (0) to three (3) years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment involved with polymer processing, formulation, coatings, and/or testing
- Knowledge of flexible PVC, thermoplastic formulation considered an asset

**Working Conditions**
- Position requires work in office, plant, and lab environments
- Standard 40-hour work week, but additionally may work evening, weekends, and overtime hours to accommodate activities
- Exposure to powders, plasticizers, solvents such as MEK, and other raw materials in lab and Chemical Plant environment
- Standing, sitting, walking, some minor lifting / carrying of product samples
- Use of PPE in production environments
- Domestic and International travel may be required.
