Shipping Coordinator-warehouse Worker

We are looking for an energetic worker with a positive "can do" attitude who can manage shipments, is efficient and accurate on the computer, has experience working with excel, and is prepared to jump on a forklift and to work in the warehouse as needed. If you are looking for a job with lots of variety - this is the job for you. Duties to include: - Organizing shipments in cooperation with the Warehouse Manager, the Production Manager and Customers - Coordinating schedules for release of goods for large projects - Scheduling shipments with customers, job sites and trucking companies - Obtaining freight quotations for shipments - Preparing shipping documents by hand and on the computer for shipments going to Canada and the United States - Verifying incoming and outgoing shipments - Warehouse work, including unloading trucks, preparing material for shipments, cleaning work areas, and helping with inventory storage. "Must Haves" for this Job - Ability to communicate clearly and competently in English - both written and spoken - Typing speed of at least 30 WPM - Experience in generating shipping documents - Experience in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment - Ability to work and communicate with others, including Warehouse Staff, Office Staff and Truck Drivers in a positive and respectful manner - Ability to lift 50-60 pounds and do repetitive physical work.
