**Position Details**

The MRI Manager will report to the Director of Science Operations and will be responsible for managing the human magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Core Research Facility at the University of Lethbridge in accordance with applicable ethics and safety regulations and statutes (provincial, federal, and international). The MRI Core Research Facility is a revenue-generating operation that can be used by University of Lethbridge and external researchers, both on a fee for use basis and consists of a Siemens Skyra 3T Magnetom MRI scanner equipped with several coils, as well as both fMRI and DTI capabilities.

The MRI Manager will support researchers in study coordination, ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements, manage the facility’s budget, and drive its strategic growth as a core research facility. This includes oversight and support of daily operations including instrument scheduling, data collection, protocol implementation, training programs, and safety practices. They will work with the MR Facility Technician and external service contract provider to facilitate and coordinate all required maintenance and repair of the MRI equipment. As capacity grows, they will be responsible for hiring, training, supervising, and mentoring staff, including MRI technologists, research associates, and administrative personnel.

The University of Lethbridge is undertaking a job classification and compensation review for Administrative Professional Officer (APO) positions. As such, the salary range currently assigned for this position may be adjusted as a result of this project.

**Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)**
- $73,110.48 - $110,835.04 annually (APO - Grade 4)
