**Job description**

Airdrie based employer looking to hire a **experienced driver** (1 year minimum) for 16 ft cube truck to do donation pick-ups in the greater Calgary area up to the Red Deer area. Insurance history must detail previous cube truck driving experience to qualify applicants with our insurance company. Valid class 5 or better is preferred, with clean drivers abstract. Some warehouse shifts will be required.

Driver duties include including loading bags by hand into the truck, and following a specific pick-up route in a timely manner. These is a physically demanding job and the applicant must be prepared for the volume of work and repetition and be able to lift 50 pounds. Those looking for delivery driver jobs will find this job more physically demanding than previous delivery driver jobs they may have had in the past.

Occasional Warehouse duties include, offloading trucks, operating a baling machine, loading outbound trailers/containers, various material handling duties, providing assistance to others working in the warehouse. Forklift experience needed.

Requires good driving record and habits, as well as being physically fit. Patience in dealing with poorly packaged donations is a must. Knowledge of collection area throughout Calgary and up to Red Deer is an asset.

Must have good character/attitude, and be able to work in an efficient, reliable and honest manner.

Must have the ability to work either independently or with a co-worker within a diverse work force. Ability to follow instructions is important.

Good communications skills and ability to work cooperatively.

Hours of work will include weekdays and weekends, schedule to be determined, and may vary so applicants need to have flexibility. PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO AIRDRIE RESIDENTS.
