Hatch is currently seeking two (2) **High-voltage Overhead Transmission lines Construction Inspectors **to join a large transmission lines project in northwestern Ontario. The inspector will join Hatch’s field team to monitor the quality and progress, maintain records and provide reporting of construction carried out by an EPC Contractor.
- Work closely with the members of the Hatch team
- Carry out inspections in the field for all aspects of construction of transmission lines and substations
- Monitoring activities typically include quality of construction and material, construction meeting the design requirements, and meeting H&S and environmental requirements.
- Monitor construction progress in comparison to planned progress
- Provide report on daily basis
- Provide inputs and support for other reports that are produced
- Maintain and provide good records of observations and any issues or concerns
- Review ECP Contractor’s construction QA/QC reports
- Be able to understand construction drawings associated with transmission lines and substations
- Stay at remote construction camps
- Travel extensively in winter driving conditions and in helicopters

**You bring to the role**:

- 6-10 years of experience in the construction of 115 kV or higher voltage transmission lines and substations
- Ability to stay in construction camps and travel in remote conditions
- Have strong adherence to H&S requirements
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to use computer programs for reporting, digital photographs and other basic functions
- A team player with good interpersonal, and communication skills.
