**INTERNAL TRAINING SPECIALIST - GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)**

Our training department is busy and in search of support. This preliminary posting is an opportunity for current employees to consider putting their hand up to try a new opportunity and grow their long-term career at Trican. The responsibilities and experience & skills listed in this posting are typical for the position title, however; may be modified based on internal interest received. The duration and details of this position will also depend on the internal interest received so if you have ever had an interest in providing instruction or training to your peers or new employees to Trican in a professional manner for a variety of operations and technical courses, speak to your leader first and contact the HR department.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
- Instruct a wide variety of programs for all ranges of field work by corresponding with specific service lines
- Must have a solid understanding of Trican’s core values and demonstrate these values consistently through
- personal conduct
- Provide feedback regarding training presentation methods best suited to individual course content and target
- audience
- Convey ideas on course content to instructional designer such as procedure (operational) manuals, and certification
- tests
- Assist and/or facilitate the teaching of specific programs and procedures in a classroom environment
- Perform in-field training to give hands on experience to Trican employees
- Help source, design, and improve course content and programs
- Travel as required to other bases in all 3 operating provinces or job sites in Western Canada

Experience & Skills:

- High school diploma is an asset
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Minimum of 5 years experience in the Oilfield Services is preferred
- Position will be located in Grande Prairie, but out of province travel will be required
- Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
- Physically fit - heavy lifting required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Skilled in problem-solving techniques
