Job Description:
Air System Supplies is looking for an estimator to join our sales team. We are seeking an individual who is technically inclined and is interested in learning and developing their skills to meet industry needs. Working collaboratively with customers, suppliers and Air System staff is essential to achieving success in the role.

The goal of an estimator is to promote sales of mechanical equipment, grilles and other related products. Estimators are tasked with accurately and efficiently reviewing take-off plans, and itemizing products and equipment in preparation for quoting. Attending industry events from time to time, and visiting customer locations are essential to developing and maintaining customer relationships.

**Responsibilities**:

- Creating 'Material Take Off' items from mechanical and HVAC drawings.
- Complete engineered submittal packages for commercial grilles/registers/diffusers (GRD) & mechanical equipment
- Reading, understanding, and confirming job specifications and requirements with Customers
- Project management once successful job tenders have been awarded
- Cross-referencing products from other manufacturers
- Preparing job bids in a timely manner using suppliers’ software and price lists
- Ensure invoices are processed on a regular basis with correct and accurate pricing
- Assist with customer sales, order desk, and answering technical calls
- Scheduling, prioritizing, and managing bid requests
- Confirming products, sizes and quantities required for completion of projects
- Submitting purchase orders to suppliers for project materials
- Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, and a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Maintain accurate records of all quotations and files related to projects
- Attend industry and customer events as needed

Recommended Qualifications:

- Diploma or equivalent number of years of experience in a similar business environment (equivalent to a minimum of 2 years of inside sales, estimating, or customer service experience).
- Proficient with the use of computers, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and internet usage.
- Excellent written and communication skills.
- Keen attention to detail; as well as strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Solid technical, communication, and presentation skills to assist customers with proper HVAC and mechanical equipment selection
- The ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times.
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritizing skills. Resourceful team player who excels at building trusting relationships with customers and colleagues

**Salary**: From $63,000.00 per year

- Vancouver, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:
