Cyber Security Analyst

**THE ROLE**
As a Cyber Security Analyst, you ensure that the organization’s information systems are protected. You perform vulnerability assessments, ongoing information risk assessments and audits, and you monitor the network to detect security irregularities. You monitor and measure overall information security practices across the different technologies and processes, and design information security solutions.

The Cyber Security Analyst improves information security through security awareness programs, policies, guidelines and standards, as well as through the ongoing integration of information security within business strategies. You recommend, implement network security, modify, and enhance the components of the security infrastructure.

**QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED** Education, Certifications and Licenses**

College diploma or certificate in Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering or a related field

Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification or equivalent certification, an asset

**Experience**

In installations and implementation of security solutions across various computing platforms and network infrastructure

In the management of both physical and logical information security systems

In vulnerability assessment, security audits, TCP/IP, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls

In technical documentation

In weighing business risks and suggesting appropriate information security measures

In writing IT security policies

In personnel administration

**OTHER INFORMATION**
This position has an assigned location and may allow flexible work options such as remote or hybrid work, but the employee must be able to report to the assigned work location at their own cost if required. Remote work may be required depending on health and safety considerations.
