Do you have a passion for musical theatre? Join our award winning studios in Edmonton and St. Albert, Alberta in inspiring children and youth to develop singing, acting and dancing skills. At the end of each season, in the month of April, we present two musical theatre productions showcasing what the students have learned over the year.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Instruct weekly musical theatre classes for ages 5-18
- Manage musical theatre, acting and dance departments at two locations
- Oversee lighting, sets and costumes
- Direct 2 productions each year with multiple casts
- Maintain effective communication with parents and other instructors
- Contribute to social media content
- Be available to rehearse as needed, including weekends
- Choreograph the shows
- Organize rehearsals and events associated with the musical theatre department
- Teach private lessons

Optional: Teach screen acting program to youth

**Job requirements**
- A post secondary degree or diploma in music, theatre, dance, or musical theatre is required
- Have the ability to direct interesting productions with an inexperienced cast.
- Build confidence in students of all ability levels.
- Enjoy working with people of all ages and excel in communication.
- Work well in a team.

**Relevant Dates**

The regular teaching season is September to the beginning of May, with optional contract teaching available June-August.

This is full time, permanent contract position starting in September 2023, with the option of starting part time in April to assist with the 2023 productions of Legally Blonde Jr. and Willie Wonka Kids in Edmonton.

**Salary**: $50,000-52,000 /year based on 40 hours of work each week

**Experience**:

- Teaching: 2 years (preferred)

**Education**:

- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

**Language**:

- English (preferred)
