**Delivery Driver** **- Class 5**
**Cherubini Bridges & Structures, a member of the Cherubini Group of Companies, is hiring a full-time Local Delivery Driver based out of Dartmouth, NS.**

**The Delivery Driver will operate a Dodge 5500 Series Flat Bed truck for the delivery of goods and products. Responsibilities include the correct loading of the vehicle, recording of delivery information, and ensuring overall vehicle safety.**

**Job Duties**
- Operate and drive delivery truck to pick up and deliver various items
- Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
- Deliver products around the Halifax area with periodic travel throughout Nova Scotia
- Operate vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road
- Comply with all company policies and procedures
- Record information on pick-ups and deliveries, vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems encountered
- Communicate with shipping & receiving
- Loading and unloading products in a safe manner, using provided tools (such as a dolly) when appropriate
- Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles
- Perform periodic inspections before, during, and after delivery to ensure that load is properly fastened, protected, and secured
- Deliver product to our customers in a courteous and timely manner
- Provide feedback regarding customer problems, mechanical problems, or delivery problems
- Complete all necessary paperwork at the end of the shift. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.
- Other duties as assigned including labour related tasks

**Requirements**:

- Valid Class 5 Driver's License (Condition 15 an asset, but not required)
- Clean Driver's abstract
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
- Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed

**Work Conditions**
- Local travel
- Will be required to work both indoors and outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Manual dexterity required
- Overtime and weekend work as required
- Ability to lift 50 pounds

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
