**JOB DESCRIPTION**:
Full-time position to work rotating shifts - days, weekends and statutory holidays. Schedules and performs activities in maintaining, installing, constructing, replacing, painting or repairing fixtures, structures and equipment throughout the hospital. Assists with plumbing, HVAC, millwrighting, electrical, carpentry and general mechanic work as required. Other duties as per job fact sheet.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Grade 12 education or equivalent required- Post Secondary technical education required- Minimum three (3) to five (5) years current full time experience in commercial / industrial construction and/or maintenance environment required- 3-5 years current experience required in the following areas:- Wall construction- Drywalling- Taping- Rough-in plumbing- Electrical- Flooring repairs in concrete, epoxy, VCT and sheet vinyl experience required- Additional experience and/or qualifications in welding, metal fabricating, furniture/cabinet making required-
- The ability to assess mechanical malfunctions and enact solutions independently- Must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time- Excellent hand-eye coordination to ensure safe handling of all equipment- Demonstrated ability to prioritize work assignments- Effective communication and planning skills- Demonstrated Team Player- Demonstrated ability to attend work on a regular basis is required
- The successful external applicant is required to provide the applicable criminal record check, as requested by Human Resources, in accordance with federal and provincial legislation. Valid criminal record checks are in original format and dated with two months from date of conditional offer from CMH._
