Becoming a **Companion for Seniors** is ideal for those looking for part-time work to supplement their income, and for retired or semi-retired individuals seeking purposeful work by making a difference in the lives of seniors, while also providing loved ones much-needed respite & peace of mind.

**Please note: we only offer PART-TIME work opportunities.**

**Duties include**:

- Companionship - spending quality, one on one time with clients, engaging clients in conversation on topics of interest to them, doing activities together that they enjoy
- Home support (household tasks, laundry, meal preparation, tidying up, etc.)
- Light housekeeping / cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, cleaning kitchen/bathrooms, etc.)
- Transportation to appointments, to collect groceries, run errands, etc. (using caregiver's own vehicle, if feasible)

**Requirements**:

- Previous senior caregiving, elder care experience, or home care experience: either employed, volunteer, or within your own family/social network
- Passionate about the well-being of seniors & open to providing a variety of home care services
- Flexible availability throughout the week (able to commit to a weekly or bi-weekly schedule for each prospective client)
- Compassionate, attentive, reliable, punctual, dedicated
- Able to provide at least 2 professional references that can speak to your work ethic and experience/ability to assist or care for elderly individuals.
- Vulnerable Sector Check obtained within the last 12 months or otherwise willing to obtain
- Assets: Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, weekend availability, bilingual (French & English)

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability
