Reporting to the FICO Team Lead, the SAP Finance and Controlling (FICO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) will be an integral part of the FICO and greater ERP support team and will provide support as part of our SAP Center of Expertise (COE). This is a permanent position based at Tomlinson’s Corporate Head Office in Ottawa, Ontario.

**PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES**

This role will involve the on-going support and development of the existing SAP S/4 HANA solution in addition to the implementation of new solutions aligning with corporate objectives.
- Provide day-to-day support for SAP FICO (Financial Accounting and Controlling).
- Liaise with the business to understand business requirements and make recommendations for enhancement and innovation.
- Lead workshops in areas such as fit-gap analysis and further development of the solution blueprint.
- Support and maintenance of reports and forms as required.
- Responsible for Data cleansing, Extraction, Loading, and Verification
- Responsible for executing the integration tests and provide final signoff on the business processes.
- Participate in development end-user training materials.
- Deliver end-user training as required.
- Develop test scripts and conduct solution testing.
- Test security requirements and roles.
- Provide Post Go-Live change support including, but not limited to, trouble shooting and determination of issue solutions, researching and establishing technical solutions to issues, development of reports and other analysis tools to support the end-users.
- Configuration and extension of configuration of the existing S/4 solution to business units and companies not yet implemented.

**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE**
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a full cycle implementation as well as in support projects and regular support.
- Minimum of 5 years SAP experience supporting General Ledger plus 3 or more of the following functions: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, Inter-company Accounting, Project System, Travel and Expense Management.
- Experience with SAP S/4 HANA required.
- SAP FICO S/4 Certification would be considered a strong asset.
- A professional accounting designation would be considered an asset.
- Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and processes.
- Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of other SAP modules (MM, SD, PM, ETM) is a plus.
- SAP Certification is preferred, but applicable experience will be considered
