What is the opportunity?

By joining RBC as a Commercial Banking Advisor, you open the door to an exciting career in commercial banking. This is your opportunity to become a critical member of the Client Relationship Team in a results-oriented environment in collaboration with Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions, Service Advisors and other team members. This role will be attractive to individuals who have a passion for working as part of a team to deliver advice and a superior experience to business clients. Individuals who may already be working in the financial, retail or service industry, have some experience being part of a sales team, who are comfortable engaging with clients and committed to continuous learning and self-improvement are most likely to thrive in this critical Trusted Strategic Advisor role.

**What will you do?**
- Excel at needs discovery and solution development to provide commercial clients with advice for their day to day banking operations
- Identify, plan & deliver the best solutions to clients and prospects based on strong knowledge of client’s business and operational requirements.
- Collaborate with the Client Relationship Team to establish client contact strategies and proactively contact clients to understand their needs, changing circumstances and provide value added advice and service.

**What do you need to succeed?**

**Must-have**
- Minimum 2 years of demonstrated excellence in a sales and service role
- Proven track record of strong relationship management skills and proven sales success
- Foundational skills in both business and financial acumen

**Nice-to-have**
- Post-secondary education at college or university level in business administration or financial management preferred e.g. BBA, B. of Commerce or equivalent on-the-job learning
