Hager Industries Inc. is looking for a **Apprentice Plumber (1st or 2nd Year) **assist installing piping systems and ducting systems in a variety of industries but focused on the food industry. Typical systems are brazed or welded using numerous techniques. All work is TSSA approved and inspected, as well as technicians certified.

**Experience/skills**
- Valid G licence (drivers abstract will be requested).
- Previous Plumbing experience considered an asset.

**Job Duties**
- Assist Plumbers with daily duties.
- Ensure all legal requirements, building and safety codes, safety inspections, city guidelines, and local and state regulations are met.
- Configure pipe systems blueprint and plan piping systems layouts.
- Ensure all steam, water, chemicals, or other liquids are turned off before working on piping system.
- Precisely cut metals such as Carbon, Stainless Steel, PVC, DWV.
- Clean and clear debris and hazardous materials from pipes as needed.
- Install piping or tubing segments securely with welding or other equipment.
- Thread, weld, solder piping together.
- Perform trial runs and tests on pipe systems.

**Salary**: $18.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 42 per week

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed

- Hamilton, ON L8E 3C1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
