Compensation and Benefits:

- Starting wages for apprentices: $20 - $34, depending on experience and training.

As a full-time employee you participate in following programs through a monthly payroll deduction. You are eligible for these benefits as long as you are employed with us.
- Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Life insurance up to $350,000 up to age 65; then up to $175,000 up to age 70.
Life insurance for your spouse $10,000 and $5,000 for each child up to your 70th birthday.
- Short-Term Disability up to $700 per week for a maximum of 26 weeks
- Long-Term Disability up to $6,000 per month up to age 65.

Experience prerequisites

3rd year Apprentice: 3-4 years of general construction and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of 3rd year plumbing technical training.

4th year Apprentice: 4+ years of general constructions and/or plumbing experience. Successful completion of 4th year plumbing technical training.

- New to the trade and don't have tools? For those beginning their apprenticeship with Omega we offer an essential tool kit exclusively to new hires. We deduct the cost over the first few pay cheques. After 1 year of employment, we reimburse the cost of the tools back.

Typical job duties/tasks of Plumbing Apprentices:

- Build and assemble plumbing installations in commercial, institutional, and residential environment
- Operate workshop equipment, hand tools, and power tools
- Handle and store plumbing supplies and materials
- Read and interpret installation drawings

Job requirements of Plumbing Apprentices
- Work in accordance with site safety requirements.
- Communicate with colleagues, trades, and sub-trades in a professional manor.
- Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Contribute to site/company culture by completing job duties with a positive attitude.
