Food Expeditor

**Job Overview**
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expeditor to join our dynamic team in the hospitality industry. The Expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth communication between the kitchen and dining area, facilitating timely service and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. **Duties**
- Coordinate food orders between the kitchen and servers to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Monitor food presentation and quality before it leaves the kitchen, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to manage order flow and address any issues that arise.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and service areas.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including processing payments through POS systems.
- Ensure proper food handling techniques are followed at all times to maintain health standards.
- Support the kitchen staff during peak hours by assisting with food preparation as needed.

**Experience**
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred, particularly in roles related to hospitality or kitchen operations.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing is advantageous.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling is essential.
- Strong communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with team members.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Pay: $17.20-$18.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 - 25 per week
