**About the Opportunity**:
The Quality Control Manager will be responsible for maintaining and improving Sperling’s Quality Control program. This includes ensuring that ISO certification continues through external auditing, but also verifying that the QC program stays relevant to company protocols through internal audits and review processes.

Responsibilities of this role include creating, revising and tracking controlled documents; managing NCR’s and related data entry; initiating and driving continuous improvements and/or corrective actions; compiling, summarizing, and presenting quality data on a regular basis; completing internal audits; completing external quality audits; executing customer feedback initiatives; and performing physical QC checks by walking through shops and field sites.

The position is based out of our offices in Sperling, MB. Monday to Friday starting at 8AM. OT, travel and weekend work may be required on an infrequent basis.

**Primary Responsibilities**:

- Understand, lead and improve Sperling’s Quality Control program under the supervision of management, departmental supervisors and operators in general conformance with ISO 9001:2015;
Perform root cause analysis on key NCR’s and create preventative actions satisfying the requirements of interested parties;
- Cohesive presentation of quarterly ISO management meetings;
- Demonstration through Quality Objective metrics that QC effectiveness is increasing;

- Cost of NCR as a % of Gross Revenue
- % of issues not rectified before leaving origin
- % of issues not rectified before project completion
- Customer Feedback
- Through the conduction of internal audits develop and build interdepartmental relationships to ensure team success and create better work flows.
- Ensure Sperling is meeting the technical requirements of project specifications on an as needed basis.
- Create and revise controlled documents as required;
- Manage, sort and analyze quality data in an organized and compliant manner;
- Spearhead quality initiatives (continuous improvement, corrective actions, etc);
- Walk through shops and field sites to perform physical QC checks;
- Walk through shops and field sites to obtain feedback from supervisors and employees.

**Required Skills, Qualifications and education**:

- Written and Verbal Communication proficiency is required;
- Experience in Structural and Mechanical disciplines in an industrial sector is an asset;
- Work with other employees efficiently and respectfully;

- Make and exercise decisions based on sound judgement;
- Organization and documentation skills;
- Be able to work independently and manage deadlines.
- Experience or training in an office setting is an asset.
