**Parts Counter Person**

**Grow your parts career **in our **Winnipeg Collision & Recycling branch**. You will sell used parts to outside customers and respond to internal parts requests from the Body Repair & Paint Technicians. This includes making suggestions on additional parts needed for repair orders, processing cores & warranty parts for credit, quoting prices, and sourcing parts over the phone.

**HOURS**:
Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

**Responsibilities**:

- Posts parts on Karmak computer business system
- Reviews repair orders for parts accuracy before final billing
- Stocks shelves and reports to Parts Manager on stock levels.
- Participates in annual parts inventories, clean-up, and preparation work
- Sources parts for select customers by phoning suppliers and competitors
- Seeks technical information regarding new & current products
- Orders merchandise within established limits
- Sells parts to external customers and builds customer relationships by correctly identifying parts needed, taking orders, creating invoices, billing out freight, and collecting payment.
- Provides requested parts to Technicians and makes suggestions on additional parts needed for repair
- May help fill outside Parts Sales Rep’s orders and identify potential customers

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE**
- 2+ years parts counter sales experience
- Knowledge of Heavy-duty truck & trailer parts preferred
- Prior parts sourcing or purchasing of products preferred
- MPI claim experience an asset
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
- Customer service focus & ability to build relationships
- Able to up-sell products to customers
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision
- Basic computer knowledge: keyboarding, data entry, internet
- Ability to learn in-house billing system
- Strong numbers orientation, attentive to details
- Organized, sets priorities, meets deadlines
- A team player, shows initiative, and a learner attitude
- Able to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
